I write For Starters, a weekly briefing for the next generation of small business owners. The newsletter is read every Friday by 10,000 people around the world who are building their dream business. Read press about For Starters here.

I was previously Editorial Director at Mailchimp. My job was to tell engaging, thought-provoking stories about the world’s most inspiring businesses.

Before that, I was Editor of Courier, the global magazine for stories of modern business. Courier produced a print mag, books, films, podcasts, events and a weekly newsletter with 2m+ subscribers—all about inspiring and celebrating small business owners. Courier was acquired by Mailchimp in 2020.

And I honed my small business storytelling chops at Monocle, where I built, produced and hosted one of the podcast industry’s earliest (best?) business shows, The Entrepreneurs, and spent years reporting stories from around the world.

Fun fact: I’m a longtime, passionate street photographer and I spend my free time on the streets with my trusty Leica Q3. I’ve joined photo workshops with Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb in Oaxaca, Richard Kalvar in Paris, and Harry Gruyaert in Athens. One day I’ll publish a photo book…
